Jeff’s journey, spanning from the deserts of Arizona to New York City, illustrates a narrative of transformation driven by resilience, determination, and continuous personal development. Throughout his career, he has integrated experiences of adversity and optimism, shaping a person whose focus is on helping guide others as they pursue their own meaningful paths in addiction recovery.
In his formative years in Arizona, Jeff encountered significant challenges, including his parents' divorce and alcohol abuse within the family, which contributed to a persistent sense of uncertainty and apprehension from an early age. These experiences played a pivotal role in shaping Jeff's identity and resilience, traits that are now integral to his approach as a Mindset Coach and a guide in transformation coaching.
At the age of eighteen, Jeff pursued his dream of performing and moved to New York City. While he had some mild successes with his performing, he dove headlong into the city's vibrant, chaotic energy of rooftop parties, after-hours clubs, and a nightlife filled with endless temptations. Nights blurred together in a haze of alcohol, drugs, and fleeting company. For a while, the adventure was exhilarating, but beneath the fun, he felt isolated and disconnected, yearning for something more substantial: real connection, clarity, and purpose. Despite these turbulent chapters, Jeff managed to maintain an impressive outward trajectory, building a career over twenty-five years in luxury hospitality and property management. Yet even with professional achievements, he found little lasting fulfillment, often returning to old habits for comfort.
Things began to shift when he discovered Annie Grace’s book, "This Naked Mind." The book’s compassionate, practical approach to addiction recovery offered insights that traditional recovery spaces had never really provided him. This reading experience sparked a profound transformation in Jeff, rooted in self-acceptance, personal responsibility, and authentic change—a turning point that led him down a new path. Inspired by this pivotal moment, Jeff embarked on a journey of growth, pursuing a coaching certification with the This Naked Mind Institute as well as certification in Affective Liminal Psychology™. By intertwining scientific principles with compassionate coaching, he helps clients navigate cycles of shame, substance reliance, self-criticism, and conditional happiness.
Throughout his journey, he has learned as much from his missteps as his successes. Rather than positioning himself as an expert with all the answers, he approaches this work with a spirit of curiosity and collaboration, always mindful of the privilege it is to walk alongside others on their paths of personal development. Jeff credits the many people, resources, and even setbacks that have shaped his understanding, and he remains open to new perspectives and insights. He hopes his own journey continues to inspire and empower others, guiding them toward lives filled with inspiration, courage, and authentic purpose.
